you can read on what it really means in the docs. The factor here is not the one you see in games btw. Some games run good at 80% other run still good at 500% (per game setting wise) ![]() On an index I drop it to 80% when I play at 144hz and up it to 130% when I play at 90hz. I do change the first one when I change refresh rate. In general I leave the first one on 100% and set the game specific one depending on the game. (It doesn't matter in VR because there are technically no real 2D elements in VR that would benefit from using the native resolution, as you should do on your classic desktop monitor) There is no reason to match the native resolution of the HMD in VR, you want it to allways be higher then the native one (if possible). Even in games, very close objects look crisp. ![]() So Im sure the headset itself is capable, and the anti-SDE coating seems to work well too. In order to reduce the render load at higher refresh rates, Pimax forces the headset into a. One is for changing the resolution as factor for everything, the other is for the specific game, yes they do multiply, if you play a diffrent game then the second one/per game setting needs to be set for that game too. There is nothing inherently wrong with the clarity of the Odyssey+ it has the same resolution as the Oculus Quest, and actually the visual quality is superb in Steam VR Home. The Vision 5K Super supports 90 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz, 160 Hz and an experimental 180 Hz refresh mode. Can anyone shed some light as to the best way to adjust the settings? Changing the resolution does seem to improve the sharpness that I see in game however but I get huge frame rate decreases as I have a fairly weak PC with a i7 3770 and a GTX 1060 oc. And to be more confusing if I set them both they seem to multiply and change after the restart of steam VR so I never can tell what settings I'm going to get. The settings can go much higher than this, but I cannot seem to create a ratio that matches the numbers exactly. None of them seem to be able to match the exact max resolution specs that I have for my devices : 1080 x1200 for the rift and 1832 x 1920 for quest 2. ![]() Unfortunately there seems to be two different settings in steamvr for adjusting the resolution: one seems to be game specific but it's unmarked as to whether it is total resolution or per eye, the other is unmarked as to whether it is for all games but is marked as resolution per eye. I am trying to adjust the steam VR resolution settings to make my gameplay with Skyrim VR less blurry on both my quest 2 and Oculus rift cv1.
